The Burden of Perfection.
Let's dig into this!
Reflecting on the common phrases:
“I want to be a good person.”
“I am good.”
“I want to work on myself so that I can be better (or) so that I can be good.”
I want to chase the idealism to be “perfect.” Is this the overall goal to reach because sometimes the word being used isn’t “good,” sometimes we're using the actual word “perfect.” But in any scenario what the heck is good or perfect because it can be the very people who do not perform intentional acts of cruelty that would say this same sort of statements which can be confusing to the audience at hand because it is causing the audience to question what makes perfection if I already know so much about this person to know that there isn't no need for them to become “good,” “better,” or “perfect.” What is it that they are chasing to change of themselves and the what does that mean about me, am I not good as well?
The reason why this is important to think about is because how it has a cause and affect on the AUDIENCE.
To help understand what I am addressing is to contrast it with something common in our society. Therefore I will use the aspects of religion. The “sinner” verses the “saved.”
This belief has the same cause and affect on its audience. What it does is causes internal and comprehensive confusion by giving birth to internal pressure and self ridicule, anger, envy, and jealousy, mentally lost in search of the meaning of how to be good and to also how to maintain or understanding what elements make one “good.” This corresponding contrast can cause people to put unnecessary pressure on themselves which only henders the opportunity to go into a journey of self discovery which will develop self love as the individual begins to compromise their own uniqueness attributes.
The importance of SELF is the greatest impulse of why I do what I do. It is the summary of why I have a website. Why I craft and make books. Why I have a cleaning business. Why I care about who I am to others and my environment. And also why I am the way that I am in my own identity. Without an understanding of who “I AM,” what I LIKE ABOUT ME and what I SEE TRUTHFULLY within myself that I WANT TO ADDRESS FOR A GREATER CHANGE, is why I believe it is necessary to address the topic of the idealism of chasing a perfect identity.
What is identity?
Identity is defined by our many attributes of character.
Is there a perfect combination of nouns with its definitions that I can just select from to hopefully program my train of thought and behavior that would then make into a better or good person?
The answer is NO!
WHY with our understanding of their being a greater force that creates which has also created us to have not been mindful enough to make a perfect assortment of characteristics? In my own personal beliefs I believe that we are already crafted in perfection and we need a balance of everything. Too much of one things only causes a tip to one direction but an equal weight on both sides causes stabilization.
If we began to look at the definitions when it comes to listing our attributes of our character we would then discover their is always an equal contrasting counterpart of that word. Which only means that we are built with a coin that has two sides which is can be an example of equilibrium.
I hope im understood here.
What I would like for society in my purpose to sharing this post is to look at things deeply. Dissect it. Do not take an understanding of life from someone else, use your own personal knowledge of life and also expand it by exploring different thoughts and then apply it to your own beliefs appropriately. I desire for people to go on a journey of self exploration. This alone will unleash so many burdens that we have upon ourselves including the idealism of a perfect character. You can't be what you are already designed of. The thought should be to maintain harmony and be as a neighbor to everything besides yourself. It should also be about evolving to your next greater self not confusing that with evolving into something perfect. Take yourself to your next growth in whatever way that looks like all the while being empathic to other’s life.
In conclusion understand when to not take words from others as factual. Remember and practice what is idealism and figuratively speaking to or for you.
Free yourself by becoming more of YOU!!
Peace In and OuT ✌🏾🌎
